1. Overview

Gstarcademy is primarily a static information and navigation site. We do not require an account to read content. If you only browse pages, we aim to collect the minimum data necessary to operate and improve the service.

2. Information we may collect

Technical logs. Hosting providers (for example Vercel or similar) may automatically log IP address, user agent, and request metadata for security and reliability.
Local storage. We may store a small preference in your browser (for example, dismissing a site notice). This stays on your device unless you clear it.
Analytics. If enabled later, we may use privacy-oriented analytics to understand aggregate traffic. We would describe the tool here and offer opt-out where applicable.

3. Outbound links

Pages link to third-party platforms (for example YouTube, course sites, or blogs). Those sites have their own privacy policies and may collect data when you visit them. We do not control their practices.

You do not need to register an account, submit personal identifiable information (PII), or provide credit card details to access our 800+ engineering articles, migration guides, or 654-question certification engine. All learning progress, mistake book queues, XP scores, and daily streaks are stored exclusively inside your browser's local storage under the gstarcademy_* key namespace (gstarcademy_lessons_progress, gstarcademy_roadmap_progress, gstarcademy_concept_mastery, gstarcademy_mistakes, gstarcademy_total_xp, and gstarcademy_streak_v1). You can wipe or export this data at any time with a single click on the Skill Certification page.

2. Edge CDN Delivery & Telemetry: Static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript assets are served globally via Cloudflare Pages edge nodes. Standard, anonymized HTTP access logs (TLS handshake metadata, country-level IP routing for DDoS mitigation) and aggregated Google Analytics 4 (GA4) pageview metrics are used solely to monitor broken links, page load latency (Core Web Vitals), and curriculum popularity. We never sell, rent, or broker user data to third-party ad networks.

3. Commercial Trial Downloads: When you click through to download 30-day evaluation installers of GstarCAD Professional, Mechanical, Architecture, or DWG FastView from official Gstarsoft portals (gstarcad.net or dwgfastview.com), any enterprise contact forms submitted there are governed by Suzhou Gstarsoft Co., Ltd.'s Global Enterprise Data Protection Policy in full compliance with EU GDPR, California CCPA, and international data protection statutes.
